If you are a Nintendo Wii owner you may have had the question "have
you unlocked your Wii" put to you. Now the average person may just
stare back blankly nodding their head in a yes motion while in reality
they have no idea what the question that was just asked to them
actually means. Luckily for you this article should explain what
Unlocking Wii actually is.





Well like the term unlocking generally
means "to open up" and the same really applies to "Unlocking Wii". It
essentially just means that you are opening up your Nintendo Wii to
purposes than was otherwise planned by Nintendo.





For example if
you unlock your Wii this means that you can play copied Wii games or
even Wii games from other countries, this is why it is becoming more
and more popular to unlock the Wii console.





Apart from playing

programming within the motherboard to allow you do run other games and
applications.





The great thing about it is that it doesn't involve
opening up your console and physically changing anything inside it
(which would immediately void the warranty) and what's even better is
that you warranty is kept intact.
