Online Marketing Strategies (Attraction Marketing - Your Message is Your Magnet)

Online Marketing Strategies (Attraction
Marketing – Your Message is Your Magnet)

By Reginald Delaney

Introduction

Many individuals are focused on the magic of attraction
marketing and the opportunity that the internet provides to them to get their
message out to an ever growing audience. Attraction marketing is a successful
marketing technique that enables you to capture your intended audience with
razor sharp focus. This in turn makes it possible to connect with individuals
that share your aspirations and goals, or that are in search of your product or
service. Attraction marketing is one of the most effective marketing methods in
existence, today. It has taken online marketing to new levels. The advent and
popularity of the internet has caused marketing online to become extremely
lucrative for companies and internet sites that attract large numbers of
visitors. Attraction marketing allows some of the most important elements of
marketing to be exploited in a way that maximizes niche marketing. In the
subsequent paragraphs we will discuss attraction marketing in more detail. The
objective of this article is to give you a good feel for what attraction
marketing is about and to give you some ideas on how to put attraction
marketing to practical use for your business needs.

Why is Attraction Marketing Important?

The inspiration for this article came from a discussion that
I had with a good friend of mine, Mr. Kenneth Hart. In our discussion we spoke
about the need to get our business message out to as many of the “right” people
as possible, and to do it as quickly as possible. One common theme that Ken and
I cater to in all of our business ventures is the need to move with a “sense of
urgency” and a “sense of purpose”. We know that in order to make progress
quickly, you must be able to identify the needs of the business and then
develop a game plan to satisfy those needs. This means that if other
individuals are needed in order to launch and grow the business, these
individuals must be accosted in the places that these individuals frequent. In
the case of the internet, this means we need to understand who these
individuals are so that we can put together information that these individuals
will find insightful and useful, and then we must get this information in front
of them by putting it in the places that they are most likely to find it.

One of the key points to remember about attraction marketing
is that you are attempting to “attract” certain types of individuals. This
means that you must be very specific about the types of individuals that you
are seeking. This is important because as people read your words, they will
decide whether or not they like what they are reading. If they like what they
are reading, attraction marketing begins to work its magic. As the individuals
continue to read, they can’t help but do an internal assessment to determine
whether or not their credentials stack up to the specifics that you are broadcasting.
If the individuals feel that they “stack up” and your words are compelling
enough, they will look for ways to get in contact with you to let you know that
they are ready to help you to accomplish whatever it is you are trying to
accomplish. When the initial contact is made, you must be prepared to determine
what the individuals “bring to the table” and whether or not they will be able
to play a role in your business venture. In addition, you must be prepared to
show these individuals what they will gain by contributing to your efforts. The
rewards must be great enough to keep the individuals motivated and engaged in
completing whatever actions are required of them.

Article Writing - One Example of Attraction Marketing

Article writing is one method of attraction marketing that
is being used widely throughout the internet. You are using words to
communicate your message to others in an attempt to find others that think like
you do, and that are interested in taking action to assist you in some fashion to
accomplish what needs to be done. As a result, they will be able to continue to
make progress on their own goals because their goals and desires are very
similar to yours. In attraction marketing, your message is your magnet! In
other words, it is your message that will determine the caliber of individuals
with whom you will “strike a chord”. As Mr. Hart stated, if we know who we want
to attract, we can then take the appropriate actions to attract them.

How Do I Know Who to Target for My Attraction Marketing
Efforts?

If you are unsure about who to target for your attraction
marketing efforts, you must reflect upon the needs of your business. If you are
not sure about what the needs of your business are, you should do the necessary
research needed to identify these needs. This research should include talking
to others that are doing those things which you wish to do. In addition, the
internet is loaded with information to facilitate your research. The only
problem is that you must manage information overload when utilizing the
internet to familiarize yourself with a business with which you are not
familiar. If this is the case, at some point in time you will need to reach out
to someone that has practical experience in your area of interest. This will
allow you to expedite your timeline for getting your business underway, and it
will help you to understand some of the challenges that you may face as you
attempt to make your business a success. (It is important to speak with
individuals that will not see you as a competitor or as a threat to what they
are doing.)

Once you know what
the business needs are, you can identify the people that will be needed to help
you meet those needs. Once we know who the people are that can help us to meet
those business needs, we can develop a strategy to get our message in front of
those people. Google, for instance, provides a very good tool called Ad Planner
which will help you find your target audience’s presence online. Ad Planner
shows you how likely you are to find your target audience on the various
websites that meet the criteria that you provide for your target audience. This
“criteria” can be specified in Ad Planner itself.

Although Ad Planner is usually used in conjunction with
Google’s paid advertising tools (i.e. Google Adwords, Google Adsense, etc.),
there are many online marketing techniques that don’t cost any money. Earlier,
we mentioned article writing as one of the free marketing techniques that can
be used for marketing online. However, another technique that is gaining
tremendous popularity is social marketing. Mediums such as Facebook, Twitter,
YouTube, Digg, etc. are being used by the masses to attract network marketing
business partners and more traditional business partners without “breaking the
bank” while advertising to reach these new partners. The best part is that we
can use the information that we gathered earlier to take advantage of the free social
marketing tools that will allow us to convey our message directly to our target
market.

Conclusion

There is no doubt that marketing online is here to stay.
Also, it is obvious that attraction marketing is one of the most effective
marketing strategies in use, today. With all of the data that is gathered
regarding internet usage, marketers are able to develop much more effective
advertising campaigns and they are able to advertise much more cost
effectively. Attraction marketing is the “magnet” of the marketing world, but
in this case it is “likes”, not “opposites” that attract.
